Nice but hard.

I bought this pattern because it has ALL the cardigans I want to make, and looks compatible with knits that drape nicely. The basic sewing is easy EXCEPT joining the front and back together at the shoulders and collar simultaneously. With the added dart in the front sections, I ended up basting it to the shoulder seam. The fabric I am using is a really delicate knit which tears and snags easily. The pivoting at the shoulder to the collar neck edge is really hard, but since the fabric drapes nicely, no imperfections or seam revisions will show. With all the time and effort I put in finally getting it looking presentable at the shoulders, darts and collar, I think I am finally getting the idea. The instructions for finishing the inside seams is good, and gives the garment a professional look. I am excited at the future cardigans I will make with this pattern, but I may alter the front pattern piece to exclude making darts.
