Buy the Sapphire Dress and Top sewing pattern from Made by Rae. Sapphire is a button-front dress and top with a V-neckline and gathered sleeves. The dress view features a maxi-length skirt with in-seam pockets and side vents at the hem. Choose a breezy shorter sleeve or a dramatic longer sleeve with an elasticated cuff. Two front bodice pattern pieces are included to provide fit flexibility for fuller and smaller chests.

Suggested fabrics: Woven light- to medium-weight fabrics such as linen, cotton lawn, voile, double gauze, poplin, shirting, shot cotton, rayon challis and other rayon/viscose blends, silk noil.

Fabric requirements: Yardage is calculated for fabrics with non-directional prints. Extra fabric may be required for nap, one-way designs, border prints, or design matching.

44" (1.1 m) wide fabric: Dress, 4.5 - 6 yd (3.9 - 5.6 m) // Top, 2.75 - 3.75 yd (2.5 - 3.5 m).

54" (1.4 m) wide fabric: Dress, 4.25 - 5 yd (3.9 - 4.6 m) // Top, 2.75 - 3 yd (2.5 - 2.9 m).

Sizing: A – N (approx. UK 8 – 42, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 0.5 yd/m of lightweight fusible interfacing; 1/2" (13 mm) wide elastic; 1/2"-9/16" (12-14 mm) buttons, 10 for dress or 6 for top; hook and eye closure or small metal snap.
