Les Perlines Heatwaves Dress

Buy the Heatwaves Dress sewing pattern from Les Perlines. Heatwaves is the perfect cottage core dress! It has a form fitting bodice with a drawstring detail at the centre front, short puffy sleeves, and a shirred panel at the back for extra comfort. The dress has two length options: midi length with a slit, and mini length with a tiered gathered skirt.

Suggested fabrics: 

Main: Light to medium weight woven fabrics like rayon and viscose (crepe, voile, poplin, twill, challis), cotton (lawn, voile, poplin, crinkle cotton, shirting), linen (washed linen, linen noil) and tencel twill. Fabrics like rayon will look more fluid and have more drape, while fabrics like cotton will give more structure and volume.

Lining: The designer recommends something more structured like cotton. 

Fabric requirements: 

View 1 - Main: 152 cm (60") wide fabric: 2 - 3 m (2.2 - 3.3 yd) // 114 cm (45") wide fabric: 2.6 - 3.8 m (2.8 - 4.1 yd).

View 2 - Main: 152 cm (60") wide fabric: 1.8 - 2.6 m (2 - 2.8 yd) // 114 cm (45") wide fabric (sizes AA-K only): 2 - 2.7 m (2.2 - 3 yd).

All views - Lining: 152 cm (60") wide fabric: 0.4 m (0.4 yd) // 114 cm (45") wide fabric: 0.4 - 0.6 m (0.4 - 0.6 yd). 

Sizing: AA – O (approx. UK 6/8 – 30/32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Approx. 2 m/yd of 1 cm (3/8") wide elastic; elastic thread.
