Orio features princess seams from the shoulders for shaping and cup sizes for a great bust fit. It has a centre front zipper, drawstring hood, two-piece sleeves with simplified plackets and cuffs, optional single welt pockets, and a shirttail hem for a classic finish.

Suggested fabrics: 

Primary fabric: Use a medium weight woven fabric such as flannel, brushed cotton, corduroy, linen or linen blends, lightweight denim, chambray, or twill. Keep in mind that the wrong side of the fabric will be visible on the inside of the hood, so choose your fabric accordingly.

Lining (pockets): Use very lightweight woven fabric such as quilting cotton, voile, or batiste.

Fabric requirements: 

Primary fabric: 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: 2 - 3 1/8 yd (180 - 280 cm) // 44" (115 cm) wide fabric: 2 1/2 - 4 1/8 yd (220 - 380 cm).

Lining (pockets): 44" (115 cm) wide fabric: 3/8 yd (30 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 40 (approx. UK 6/8 – 34/36, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Sizes 00-20 have A, B, C, D and DD cups. Sizes 22-40 have B, C, D and DD cups.

A note from the designer about bust cup options: To determine your cup size, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1" (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2" (5 cm), use B cup; 3" (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4" (10 cm), use D cup; 5" (12.5 cm), use DD cup.

Notions: Lightweight fusible woven or weft insertion interfacing; one separating jacket zipper, at least 27" (68 cm) long, with a total tape width of no less than 1 1/4" (3.2 cm) (wider tapes are also suitable); one piece of twill tape, 28" (72 cm) long x 3/8" (1 cm) wide; two 5/8" (15 mm) buttons; 1 1/2 yd (1.5 m) of 3/8" (1 cm) wide drawstring cord or ribbon; two cord ends for drawstring (optional); two 3/8" (1 cm) (inside diameter) grommets (with corresponding tool for installation).
