In the Folds Darlow Bag

Buy the Darlow Bag sewing pattern from In the Folds. The Darlow Bag is a crossbody bag with a twist! Designed to be worn on the front of the body or on the side (over the right shoulder), this bag is both stylish and practical. The perfect scrap-busting project, it can be made in a single fabric or in contrasting fabrics to highlight its unique curved panel seams. 

The bag is fully lined and features a side zip opening for the main compartment, a front pocket for storing smaller essentials, and an internal lining patch pocket. It has an adjustable webbed strap with a buckle.

Suggested fabrics: 

Outer: Mid-weight woven fabrics such as cotton canvas (lightweight or mid-weight), cotton drill, denim, and heavyweight nylon. Keep in mind that the weight of the fabric will determine the amount of structure in the finished bag. Choose fabric that has a stable weave and doesn't fray easily.

Lining: Poplin, lawn, batiste, and quilting weight cotton.

Fabric requirements: 

Outer: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 0.4 m (0.5 yd) // 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 0.4 m (0.5 yd).

Lining: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 0.5 m (0.6 yd) // 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 0.5 m (0.6 yd).

Sizing: Finished measurements (approximate due to the nature of the design): H 43 cm (17") x W 30 cm (11 3/4").

Notions: Small amount of lightweight fusible interfacing; 15 cm (6") closed metal/plastic zipper; 25 cm (10") closed metal/plastic zipper; 150 cm (60") x 40 mm (1 1/2") webbing; hardware to fit 40 mm (1 1/2") webbing: one D-ring, one slider, and one buckle.
