In the Folds Attwood Pants

Buy the Attwood Pants sewing pattern from In the Folds. A modern take on casual pants, Attwood is a pattern that will delight from so many angles. These elasticated pants sit on the natural waist. They feature patchwork-esque panels and are sewn with flat felled seams. Large patch pockets wrap around from front to back and are secured with topstitching. Attwood is designed to be relaxed in fit, with a straight leg, cropped length, and large hem allowance.

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: The pattern will show both the cutting lines (in black) and stitching lines (in pale grey). 

Suggested fabrics: Mid-weight woven fabrics such as linen, linen blends, cotton canvas, cotton drill and denim. The pattern lends itself well to colour blocking. Keep in mind that the weight of the fabric will determine the amount of structure and drape in the finished garment. Note that heavy fabrics are likely to create too much bulk in the waistband due to the elastic.

Fabric requirements: 

Sizes A - J: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 2.4 - 3.2 m (2.7 - 3.5 yd) // 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 2.1 - 2.4 m (2.3 - 2.7 yd).

Sizes G - P: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 3.3 - 4.5 m (3.6 - 5 yd) // 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 2.4 - 3.2 m (2.7 - 3.5 yd).

Sizing: A – J and G – P (approx. UK 6 – 26/28 and UK 18/20 – 44, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements. 

This pattern is available in two size brackets: sizes A-J and sizes G-P. If your measurements are in the overlap section of the size charts (G-J), the designer suggests using the G-P pattern to achieve the best fit.

This pattern has been drafted for a height of 170 cm (5'7"). Use the LENGTHEN/SHORTEN lines on the pattern to make alterations to the length.

Notions: 5 cm (2") wide elastic x (your waist measurement + 5 cm (2")) // Optional: 0.25 m (0.3 yd) light to mid-weight fusible interfacing for the pocket facings.
