Buy the Solstice Hoodie sewing pattern from Helen's Closet. The Solstice Hoodie is a cosy zip-up sweater with two length options. View A is a classic hip length and View B is a cute cropped length. Both views feature dropped shoulders, front pockets, and a hood with an optional drawstring. This gender inclusive pattern has a relaxed fit and is designed to be comfortable for everybody! Suggested fabrics: Medium to heavy weight knit fabrics with minimal stretch (0-10% stretch). Sweatshirting and French terry are ideal.

Choose a medium to heavy weight fabric for best results, approximately 9-14 oz (300-475 gsm). Lighter weight fabrics can work for a softer, more relaxed fit. Stretchier knits can be used but will result in a drapier look.

Fabric requirements: 

View A (long): 57" (145 cm) wide fabric: 1.6 - 2.4 yd (1.5 - 2.2 m) // 45" (115 cm) wide fabric: 2 - 3.2 yd (1.8 - 3 m).

View B (cropped): 57" (145 cm) wide fabric: 1.5 - 2.2 yd (1.4 - 2 m) // 45" (115 cm) wide fabric: 1.9 - 3 yd (1.7 - 2.7 m).

Ribbing (all views): 37" (95 cm) wide ribbing: 0.4 - 0.5 yd (0.4 - 0.5 m) // 45" (115 cm) wide ribbing: 0.4 - 0.5 yd (0.4 - 0.5 m).

Sizing: US 0 – 34 (approx. UK 6 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern has been drafted for a 5'6" (168 cm) tall person.
