Buy the Twin Lakes Two Piece sewing pattern from Friday Pattern Company. A two piece set that covers all the bases! Sew Twin Lakes as a swimsuit or as a bra and panty set.

The top pattern has B/C and C/D cup options, as well as darts for easy pattern adjusting, and features a fun method for covering elastic in fabric.

The bottoms are comfortable and elastic free! There are options for a hipster rise or mid rise, as well as for a full butt or thong cut.

The two piece is unlined, but the pattern includes cues for when and how to sew a lining into the top and/or bottoms!

Suggested fabrics: The Twin Lakes Two Piece is designed for knit fabrics. You will need a fabric with 4 way stretch and at least 50% crosswise stretch. If you are making it as a swimsuit, you will need swim fabric, and because the swimsuit is not fully lined you will want to make sure your fabric is opaque.

Fabric requirements: You may need to purchase extra yardage if your fabric has a heavy nap, is directional, striped, or has an obvious repeat.

For top and bottoms combined: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 0.6 - 1.6 yd (0.55 - 1.5 m) // 54-60" (137-153 cm) wide fabric: 0.55 - 1.15 yd (0.5 - 1.05 m).

Sizing: XS – 7X (approx. UK 6 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

The pattern was drafted using sample measurements for a height of 5'6" (168 cm).

Notions: Stretch sewing machine needle; 1.5 yd (1.4 m) of 3/8" (1 cm) wide elastic for the straps; 1.5 yd (1.4 m) of 1/2" (1.3 cm) wide elastic for the band on the top; 3/8" (9.5 mm) lingerie strap slides and rings set // For bra and panty: scrap of cotton fabric for the crotch lining // Swimsuit: 0.6 yd (0.5 m) lining fabric // Optional: walking foot (can make it easier to sew with slippery knits).
