Buy the Bastian Sweatshirt and Tee sewing pattern from French Navy. The Bastian is a classic raglan sweater with contrast sleeve insets that offer the opportunity for customisation, colour blocking, and scrap busting. Suggested fabrics: 

Style A: Medium weight sweatshirt fabrics such as cotton sweatshirt fleece or french terry. The designer recommends sweatshirt fabrics with 15% or more stretch. Ribbing can be used for the cuffs and/or neckband if desired.

Style B: Light to medium weight cotton lycra knit fabric with 20% or more stretch. 

Back neck binding: Light to medium weight remnant of knit fabric. If making style B you can use the same fabric.

Main fabric

Style A: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 1.5 - 2.1 m (1.7 - 2.3 yd) // 150 cm (59") wide fabric: 1.2 - 1.5 m (1.4 - 1.7 yd).

Style B: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 1.4 - 1.7 m (1.6 - 1.9 yd) // 150 cm (59") wide fabric: 1 - 1.5 m (1.2 - 1.7 yd).

Contrast fabric

Style A: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 25 cm (10") // 150 cm (59") wide fabric: 25 cm (10").

Style B: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 30 - 35 cm (12" - 14") // 150 cm (59") wide fabric: 30 - 35 cm (12" - 14").

Sizing: A – N (approx. UK 6/8 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

The pattern is drafted for a height of 171 cm (5'7") and a B cup.
