Buy the Carmel Shorts sewing pattern from Fibre Mood. Carmel is a cool pair of shorts with a playful twist. The inserts at the sides invite you to personalise the look – think contrasting colour, fabric, or texture. The waistband can be made from the main fabric or a comfortable rib knit, and can be finished with a drawstring. Carmel looks great with a matching Denver Top or an oversized Elif Top.

Suggested fabrics: Choose sweater fabric (brushed or unbrushed), French terry, or a heavy, structured jersey with a soft inside and firm outer surface. Alternatively, opt for lightweight waffle fabric made from cotton or a cotton blend.

Fabric requirements: 110 cm wide fabric: 110 - 180 cm // 140 cm wide fabric: 90 - 150 cm.

Sizing: EU 32 – 60 / US 0 – 28 / UK 4 – 32 (approx. UK 6 – 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and pattern measurements.

Notions: Iron-on interfacing, max. 40 cm; elastic, 4 cm wide (see chart) // Optional: rib knit (min. 65 cm wide single layer), max. 25 cm; cord, max. 190 cm.
