Buy the Penelope Dress sewing pattern from Emporia Patterns. Penelope features a lined bodice with a V-neck and statement sleeves. The skirt has side seam pockets and can be midi length, or maxi length with a frill. Penelope is great for weddings and special occasions in the maxi version, or for casual everyday wear when made without the frill.

Note: There are no pattern pieces for the skirt and frill as they are sewn from simple rectangles.
Suggested fabrics: Cotton poplin, cotton lawn, viscose challis, chambray, needlecord, broderie anglaise, linen, linen blends, crepe, cotton sateen.
Fabric requirements: If making the version with no frill, reduce the fabric requirement by 80 cm.
Sizes 6-24: 150 cm wide fabric: Dress with frill, 4 m // Lining, 0.5 m.
Sizes 26-30: 150 cm wide fabric: Dress with frill, 4.5 m // Lining, 1 m.
Sizing: UK 6 – 30 (approx. UK 6 – 28, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.
