Buy the Howerdel Skirt sewing pattern from Elbe Textiles. The Howerdel Skirt is a midi length skirt that is fitted at the waist with an invisible zipper in the side seam and a lined top tier. View A features asymmetrical gathered tiers, and View B has straight gathered tiers.

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: Some of the pattern pieces have been split (to fit on the A0 sheets) and will need to be joined together.

Suggested fabrics: Medium weight woven fabrics. Rayon, silk, washed linen, soft cottons.

Fabric requirements: The requirements for the main fabric were calculated with all the pattern pieces on the cross grain. The requirements for the lining fabric were calculated on the straight grain.

Main

110 cm (45") wide fabric: 250 - 400 cm (2.7 - 4.3 yd).

150 cm (60") wide fabric: 180 - 300 cm (2 - 3.2 yd).

Lining

110 cm (45") wide fabric: up to 60 cm (0.6 yd).

150 cm (60") wide fabric: up to 50 cm (0.5 yd).

Sizing: A – N (approx. UK 6 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern has been drafted for a height of 5'7".

Notions: 25 cm (10") or longer invisible zipper; 128-254 cm (50-100") fusible stay tape or a strip of lightweight interfacing (double your waist measurement plus a bit extra); hook and eye.
