Buy the Gibbons Slip Dress sewing pattern from Elbe Textiles. This bias cut slip dress gently moulds to the body and comes with multiple neckline, back and length options that can be mixed and matched to create your own style. The back features optional darts for extra shaping.

View A has a deep V-front with a gathered bust. It also has a V-back and finishes at the calf.

View B is a mini dress with a subtly shaped V-neck with a gathered bust. Buttons and button loops at the centre front neckline give more coverage.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: One of the pattern pieces has been split (to fit on the A0 sheet) and will need to be joined together.

Suggested fabrics: Cupro, sandwashed silk, rayon, tencel, silk satin, silk charmeuse, silk crepe, linen viscose, washed linen.

Fabric requirements: It is possible to use fabric with a smaller width, but you may need to incorporate a centre back seam for the back piece to fit.

View A: 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 160 - 240 cm (1.7 - 2.6 yd).

View B: 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 135 - 210 cm (1.5 - 2.3 yd).

Sizing: A – N (approx. UK 6 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern has been drafted for a height of 5'7".

This pattern has two cup size options: a B cup and a C/D cup. To find your sewing cup size, measure your high bust and full bust. The difference between the two measurements will tell you your cup size.

5 cm (2") difference = B cup
7.5 cm (3") difference = C cup
10 cm (4") difference = D cup         

Notions: View B: four 8-10 mm buttons.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (51 pages for each cup size); A0 copy shop pattern (3 sheets for each cup size) // Layers: Yes // Projector file: No.
