Cris Wood Sews is for sewists who want to replace size charts and paper pattern pieces with size inclusiveness and sustainability.

The garments are made up using only squares and rectangles. In this way, each pattern piece can be sized to your specific and unique measurements – without paper pattern pieces. With the exception of a pocket piece, there is nothing to print, cut or tape. The piece shapes are drawn directly onto your fabric, and the layouts maximise fabric usage.

Cris Wood Sews patterns are excellent for beginners and confident beginners because they use only straight seams and don't require any closures like buttons or zips.

Suggested fabrics:

For a structured look, mid-weight wovens with a soft drape are recommended. Seersucker, textured cottons, cotton dobby, lightweight jacquard, silk taffeta, dupioni silk, ikat.

For a less structured look, use lightweight or mid-weight woven fabrics with a fluid drape, such as linen and linen blends, cotton lawn, cotton voile, gauze, rayon, viscose or silk.

Knits and heavy bottom weights are not recommended. Directional fabrics may require additional fabric.
