Buy the Plateau Joggers sewing pattern from Closet Core Patterns. Part of Closet Core's cosy yet stylish Montreal Lounge Collection, the Plateau Joggers are an elevated take on classic knit jogging pants. With a high rise, unique wrap-around pockets and a comfy elastic waist, they are ideal loungewear at home or on the street.

View A is a relaxed fitting pant with an optional drawstring waist and two choices of ankle finish: a fabric cuff or gathered elastic hem. View B is a pair of shorts with a gently scalloped hem. Optional back pockets can be added to either view. Worn here with the Mile End Sweatshirt.

Note: Due to a printing error, the tissue sheet for the Plateau Joggers may be missing pattern piece I (cuff band for View A). You will be able to download a print-at-home PDF of this pattern piece (only) from your order confirmation email. The pattern piece (a simple rectangle) prints on a single US letter/A4 page.

Suggested fabrics: Choose thicker knit fabrics like cotton fleece, polar fleece, French terry, ponte, and double knits with at least 15% crosswise stretch. For a lighter pair of joggers, choose medium to heavy weight jersey knits.

Fabric requirements:

View A: 58" (1.5 m) wide fabric: Sizes 0-14 = 1.75 yd (1.6 m) // Sizes 16-20 = 2.25 yd (2 m).

View B: 58" (1.5 m) wide fabric: Sizes 0-14 = 1 yd (0.9 m) // Sizes 16-20 = 1.25 yd (1.15 m).

Sizing: 0 – 20 (approx. UK 6 – 20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Stretch, ballpoint or jersey needle; 2" (50 mm) wide elastic for waistband (1.5 yd/1.3 m) // Optional: double needle for topstitching or coverstitch machine; 1" (25 mm) wide elastic for pant leg cuffs (1 yd/0.9 m); 1.5 yd (1.3 m) cord for drawstring; two grommets for drawstring openings (can be substituted with machine buttonholes).
