Buy the Appleton Dress sewing pattern from Cashmerette. This classic knit wrap dress is designed to play up your curves with a crossover front, built-in waist tie and deep V-neck. Designed by and for curvy women, the Appleton’s innovative neckband construction prevents gaping across your bust, and Cashmerette’s C-H cup sizing means you’ll feel comfortable without adjustments. What we think: This is a versatile wardrobe staple that you will make and wear time and time again.
Suggested fabrics: Light to midweight knit fabric such as jersey or ITY, with at least 50% crosswise stretch.
Fabric requirements:
Sizes 0 - 16: 45" (115 cm) wide fabric: 2 7/8 - 3 1/2 yd (2.5 - 3.2 m) // 55" (140 cm) wide fabric: 2 1/2 - 2 7/8 yd (2.3 - 2.7 m).
Sizes 12 - 32: 45" (115 cm) wide fabric: 4 - 5 yd (3.6 - 4.5 m) // 60" (150 cm) wide fabric: 2 3/4 - 3 7/8 yd (2.5 - 3.5 m).
Sizing: US 0 - 16 or US 12 - 32 (approx. UK 8 - 18 or UK 14 - 34, based on our standardised size chart) in three cup sizes (C/D, E/F, G/H). Please also check the designer's size charts and finished garment measurements.
Note: The 0-16 and 12-32 size ranges were developed separately. The 0-16 range differs from the 12-32 range in the following ways: the bust darts are slightly higher, there is less ease at the waist and hip, the waist is slightly lower, the front length is slightly shorter, and in some cases the side seams are slightly straighter.

Notions: Ballpoint or stretch needle; 6" (15 cm) of clear 1/4" (6 mm) elastic (optional).

Why didn't anyone tell me the Cashmere Appleton dress was such a satisfying make? Cashmerette have done a great job in solving the bust gaping issue for curvy girls.
There are cup size options that make for a good fit in the bodice. There are 3 sleeve options and the skirt width is generous so less chance of it falling open when you sit. Cashmerette sewing instructions are detailed with great drawings and there's even a Sewalong.
This is my 2nd Appleton and hopefully won't be my last. It's a very satisfying make.

I’ve sewn a few wrap dresses in my time but finding that perfect fit at the bustline has proved somewhat elusive...until now! The Appleton by Cashmerette is a revelation!
I’m kicking myself for not making it sooner really as it’s also an incredibly quick and simple sew; which is fantastic in a pattern that’s likely to end up as a TNT ... plus the fact that you can also get the wrap cardigan style top expansion pack for it! However, there are a few things worth mentioning - namely, that the cutting out Legend is different from a lot of patterns, i.e. the grey shaded pieces denote the RIGHT side - a fact which very nearly derailed me when cutting out!
I've made two versions so far - one in a lighter-weight knit suitable for summer and a long-sleeved one in a heavier stretch velvet - perfect for the Holidays!

This is my second Appleton and I love it! It's such an easy sew and the cupsized pieces with built I'm fba just take all the stress of fitting away!
