Buy the Strata Pants and Shorts sewing pattern from Papercut Patterns. Lift your fashion game with these statement wide leg pants. A tailored fit through the waist and hip means a crisp silhouette to balance out the flared leg. Strata features a double-stud waistband at the natural waist, curved front pockets, front fly, back darts and your choice of three different lengths – ankle length, cropped or shorts.

Suggested fabrics: Can be made with a range of light to medium weight woven fabrics from cotton or silk to denim or wool.

Fabric requirements:

Full length: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 1.6 – 2.2 m (1.75 – 2.4 yd) // 114 cm (45″) wide fabric: 2.3 m (2.5 yd).

Cropped: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 1.4 – 1.7 m (1.5 – 1.85 yd) // 114 cm (45″) wide fabric: 1.85 m (2 yd).

Shorts: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: 0.9 – 1.1 m (1 – 1.2 yd) // 114 cm (45″) wide fabric: 1.3 m (1.45 yd).

Sizing: 1 – 8 (approx. UK 4 – 20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Fusing (114 cm/45″) wide, 0.4 m (0.45 yd); pocketing (114 cm/45″) wide, 0.35 m (0.4 yd); 2 dome/snap sets for waistband closure; 15 cm (6″) trouser zipper; matching thread.
