Buy the S9834 Vintage Hats in Five Styles sewing pattern from Simplicity. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner/intermediate dressmaker. Hats based on styles from the 1930’s and 1940’s. Hat A: Contrast ribbon details. Hat B: Contrast side. Hat C. Hat D: Self fabric flowers. Hat E. All hats are one size fits most.

(0.4m) of elastic cord, one skein of perle cotton, 3″ (75mm) hat pin, one 10″ (26cm) styrofoam wreath and terry wash cloth. Hat B: 5/8 yd. (0.6m) of 1″ (25mm) grosgrain ribbon, 3/8 yd. (0.4m) of elastic cord, 3/4 yd. (0.7m) of 18 gauge (1.2mm) wire, one 10″ X 10″ (26cm X 26cm) buckram remnant, 3″ (75mm) hat pin, one 6″ (15cm) styrofoam ball and terry wash cloth. Hat C: 7/8 yd. (0.8m) of 2″ (50mm) ribbon, 1/8 yd. (0.2m) of elastic cord, 1 yd. (1.0m) of 18 gauge (1.2mm) wire, 3″ (75mm) hat pin, craft glue, one 6″ (15cm) styrofoam ball and terry wash cloth. Hat D,E: 3/4 yd. (0.7m) of 1″ (25mm) grosgrain ribbon and 1/8 yd. (0.2m) of 1/4″ (6mm) elastic. Also for E: 1 yd. (1.0m) of 2″ (5mm) ribbon, 3/8 yd. (0.4m) of 1/2″ (13mm) cord, 5 mm glue-on jewels and jewel glue.
