Marsha Style Shameka Dress and Top

Buy the Shameka Dress and Top sewing pattern from Marsha Style. Shameka features a slightly wide, moderately high round neck. There is a centre back seam which can be omitted. The open scooped armhole is finished with an elasticated band.

The Shameka Dress in its original form is a loose-fitting slip dress. If you like to have a waistline in your garments there is an option for an elasticated waist or waist tie. The midi dress has side seam slits. All dress views include side-seam pockets.

Suggested fabrics: This top and dress are suitable for a wide range of fabric types including both knit and woven. Consider using mid weight woven fabrics such as linen, linen blends, velvet, silk noil, cotton and cotton gauze. For a softer silhouette consider polyester, viscose, rayon, tencel, silk or blends of these. The sky is the limit for your knit fabric choice.

Fabric requirements: 

View A: 45″ (1.15 m) wide fabric: 1.6 – 2.7 yd (1.5 – 2.5 m) // 56″ (1.4 m) wide fabric: 1.3 – 2.0 yd (1.2 – 1.8 m).

Views B and C: 45″ (1.15 m) wide fabric: 2.7 – 3.0 yd (2.5 – 2.8 m) // 56″ (1.4 m) wide fabric: 1.9 – 2.7 yd (1.7 – 2.5 m).

Views D and E: 45″ (1.15 m) wide fabric: 3.1 – 4.0 yd (2.8 – 3.8 m) // 56″ (1.4 m) wide fabric: 2.4 – 3.3 yd (2.2 – 3.0 m).

Sizing: US 2 – 22 (approx. UK 6 – 26, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern has been drafted for a height of 170 cm (5’7″).

If you prefer a less oversized fit, the designer recommends sizing down one full size.
