Fabric requirements: Pre-cuts assume forty 10″ squares in layer cake and forty-two 5″ squares in a charm pack. Yardage requirements assume fabric with a usable width of 40″ (102 cm).
Baby size: Main colour (colour prints), 6 fat quarters or 1 layer cake or 2 charm packs // Background (white), 1 3/4 yd (1.6 m) // Backing, 3 yd (2.7 m) // Binding, 1/2 yd (0.5 m).
Lap size: Main colour (colour prints), 8 fat quarters or 1 layer cake or 3 charm packs // Background (white), 3 1/4 yd (3 m) // Backing, 4 yd (3.7 m) // Binding, 1/2 yd (0.5 m).
Bed size: Main colour (colour prints), 16 fat quarters or 2 layer cakes or 6 charm packs // Background (white), 4 1/2 yd (4.1 m) // Backing, 5 yd (4.6 m) (if your backing has large selvedges you may need to add a strip down the middle to make it wide enough) // Binding, 3/4 yd (0.7 m).
