Suggested fabrics:

Choose a fabric that will give the bag plenty of structure, such as a 9-12 oz. canvas, waxed canvas, or denim with no stretch. The designer’s favourite fabric to work with is waxed canvas for its structure, durability, and water resistance.

All the leather pieces should be 5-7 oz. in weight.

Fabric requirements: 

Main: 45″ (114 cm) or 60″ (152 cm) wide fabric: 1 yd (0.9 m).

Accent: 45″ (114 cm) or 60″ (152 cm) wide fabric: 1/3 yd (0.3 m).

Leather: 65″ x 3/4″ leather strips.

Sizing: Finished dimensions: 13 1/2″ H x 12″ W x 5″ D (34 cm x 30.5 cm x 13 cm).
