Buy the Easy Zip Bag sewing pattern from Greyfriars and Grace. Use this tutorial with step-by-step photos to make a fully lined zip bag in any size, with an optional flat bottom. It’s perfect as a cosmetic or travel bag and makes a great gift. This project is also perfect for using up scraps or recycling fabric (some of the product photos show bags made using redundant curtains).

PLEASE NOTE: NO PATTERN PIECES ARE INCLUDED. You will draw your own rectangular pattern pieces using measurements provided in the instructions.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following format:

– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?

Suggested fabrics: You will need fabric for the main, lining and zip tabs. Use your fabric stash or recycled textiles. The designer likes a pre-quilted waterproof fabric for the lining, but canvas, denim or any mid-weight woven is also good.

Sizing: Any size (the size is determined by the size of zip used).

Notions: Zip in colour and style of your choice; medium weight interfacing (optional); fabric glue (optional).

PDF pattern includes: Instructions only. There are no pattern pieces. A YouTube sewalong is available here to make the project even easier.
