Buy the Giverny Dress sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. Pretty and ladylike, the vintage-inspired Giverny Dress has pintucks on the front, a curved high waistband, and a knee-length seven-panel flared skirt. Options include short or 3/4 length pleated cuffed sleeves as well as a sash attached to the back waistband. But it’s not just good looks: the skirt has functional in-seam pockets! The Giverny Dress is completely lined and has options for A, B, C, D and DD cups.

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). Choose A and B, C and D, or DD cup size. What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Use a lightweight woven fabric such as crepe, linen, lawn, silk twill, chambray, rayon challis or broadcloth. For the lining, use a lightweight woven fabric, such as batiste, lawn, bemberg or other lining fabric.

Fabric requirements: 135 cm (54”) wide fabric: Dress with short sleeves, 2.7 – 3.1 m (3 – 3 3/8 yd) / Dress with 3/4 sleeves, 2.9 – 3.3 m (3 1/8 – 3 5/8 yd) / Optional sash add, 0.3 m (3/8 yd) // Lining (115 cm (44”) wide): Dress with short sleeves, 2.5 – 3.3 m (2 3/4 – 3 5/8 yd) / Dress with 3/4 sleeves, 2.7 – 3.5 m (3 – 3 7/8 yd).

Sizing: US 00 – 20 (approx. UK 8 – 22). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

A note from the designer about bust cup options: To determine your cup size, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1″ (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2″ (5 cm), use B cup; 3″ (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4″ (10 cm), use D cup; 5″ (12.5 cm), use DD cup.

Notions: 56 cm (22”) invisible zipper; one 1.25 cm (1/2”) button; 41 cm (16”) of 1.25 cm (1/2”) wide fusible stay tape (or cut your own on straight grain); two pieces of lightweight woven interfacing, 18 x 2.5 cm (7” x 1”); two pieces of lightweight woven interfacing, 36 x 2.5 cm (14” x 1”).

PDF pattern includes: Digital pattern compatible with both US letter and A4 paper sizes; A0 (copy shop) file; step-by-step illustrated instructions. The print-at-home pattern is a layered PDF, so you can select your size before printing.
