Buy the Giverny Dress sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. The vintage-inspired Giverny Dress has an elegant jewel neckline with a centre front slit and button closure, pintucked bodice, curved high waistband, and knee-length seven-panel flared skirt with pockets. The back bodice has princess seams and an invisible zipper. Options include short or 3/4 length pleated cuffed sleeves, and a sash attached to the back waistband. The dress is fully lined, and the pattern includes options for A, B, C, D and DD cups.

Suggested fabrics:

Primary fabric: Use a lightweight woven fabric such as crepe, linen, lawn, silk twill, chambray, rayon challis or broadcloth.

Lining: Use a lightweight woven fabric such as batiste, lawn, bemberg or other lining fabric.

Fabric requirements:

Primary fabric: 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: Dress with short sleeves, 3 - 3 3/8 yd (270 - 310 cm) // Dress with 3/4 sleeves, 3 1/8 - 3 5/8 yd (290 - 330 cm) // Optional sash, add 3/8 yd (30 cm).

Lining: 44" (115 cm) wide fabric: Dress with short sleeves, 2 3/4 - 3 5/8 yd (250 - 330 cm) // Dress with 3/4 sleeves, 3 - 3 7/8 yd (270 - 350 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 20 (approx. UK 8 – 22). Please check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

A note from the designer about bust cup options: To determine your cup size, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1" (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2" (5 cm), use B cup; 3" (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4" (10 cm), use D cup; 5" (12.5 cm), use DD cup.

Notions: 22" (56 cm) invisible zipper; one 1/2" (1.25 cm) button; 16" (41 cm) of 1/2" (1.25 cm)-wide fusible stay tape (or cut your own on straight grain); two pieces of lightweight woven interfacing, 7" x 1" (18 x 2.5 cm); two pieces of lightweight woven interfacing, 14" x 1" (36 x 2.5 cm).

PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step illustrated instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (82 pages, but you only need to print the pages for your cup size); A0 copy shop pattern (5 sheets, but you only need to print the sheets for your cup size) // Layers: Yes // Projector file: No.
