Simple but interesting!

A review of Itch to Stitch Lemont Top

Reviewed by nightingaleanddolittle on 23rd June, 2022

The Lemont top is simple to sew, but still has some slightly different features.

The front and back side panels of the princess seamed bodice and the sleeves are all cut in one big pattern piece, which gives the top an interesting shape. It also makes it a great pattern for ginghams, checks and stripes because they show of the side panels well as they’re on the bias where they meet the centre front and back.

The instructions were really detailed and easy to follow, and they’re accompanied by clear diagrams. I didn’t have any trouble when I was sewing my top.

I made the size recommended for my body measurements and it turned out nicely – it’s comfortable to wear without being too oversized. The only adjustment I made was to lengthen the top, which is a standard adjustment for me.

I’d happily recommend this pattern – it’s fun to sew and lovely to wear!
