Indigo Dress – Tilly & the Buttons.

This pattern so deserves its popularity! I wasn’t sold on the image on the pattern cover at first, but by leaving off the flounces and frills it’s much more my style. I made a straight size 7 with no adjustments needed. It does feel a little oversized (which I know is on trend at the moment) so I might add some ties at the back when I eventually head back to the office.

The instructions are fantastic as with all of Tilly’s patterns. I don’t think I’ve ever achieved such a professional finish with the facing  before thanks to the clarity of how to understitch and sew in the ditch at the shoulders.

I will definitely make another one soon in a more autumnal fabric.
