No. 101 The E.S.P. Dress

The ESP Everyday dress is a stylish quick sew. The raglan sleeves add a nice vintage detail and I love the square neckline. The pattern has been well drafted and runs true to size. There’s a generous amount of ease and I found I took about 3cm off the waist on each side. The sleeves do have a lot of volume and will stick out as in the pattern drawings – worth bearing in mind if you’re planning on wearing a cardigan with this dress. After my toile I added a couple of darts to the sleeves just to reduce the flare a little bit. Decades of Style also suggested adding some gathering to the lower sleeve to create a puff effect. Overall it’s a gorgeous dress & I’ve already got my next one cut.
