Wardrobe By Me Pika vest

Waistcoats are very trendy at this moment. This WBM Pika vest is a beautiful tailored waistcoat for women. It has princess seams, back darts and a shaped back seam. The front hem is pointed, slightly longer than the back with decorative welts. The waistcoat is fully lined so it can easy pulled on. You can wear it as Top in the Summer but also in Autumn and Winter a shirt and even a T-shirt.

A classic male waistcoat is made of the two fabrics. Front and back have different fabrics. I used this idea to make my version. In my stash were two leftovers: plain grey and a plaid one. Both wool and the grey was slightly thicker.

Read the instructions first is a good start if  you're just like me not so confident when it concerns lining and sewing both together.

Christina designs her patterns for length 172 centimeters. I’m slightly longer so my vest is about 1 centimeter longer.
