Suggested fabrics:
Main: Medium to heavy bottomweight fabrics with little to no stretch such as denim, corduroy, twill and linen. Keep the strength of your sewing machine in mind when choosing the weight of your fabric as there are many steps with multiple layers to sew through.
Pocket lining: Lightweight woven fabrics such as quilting cotton, cotton lawn, cotton voile, linen and rayon bemberg (1/2 yd/m).
Fabric requirements:
Sizes 0 – 18
View A: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 3 - 3.2 yd (2.7 - 2.9 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 2 - 2.2 yd (1.8 - 2 m).
View B: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 4.3 - 4.5 yd (3.9 - 4.1 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 2.8 - 3.5 yd (2.6 - 3.2 m).
Sizes 14 – 32 (54" or wider fabric only)
View A: 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 2.2 - 2.5 yd (2 - 2.3 m).
View B: 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 3.2 - 3.7 yd (2.9 - 3.4 m).
Sizing: US 0 – 18 or US 14 – 32 (approx. UK 6/8 – 18/20 or UK 16 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.
Note: The size ranges have been drafted from different blocks. The 14 – 32 block has a slightly more curvy set of dimensions than the 0 – 18 block. The 14 – 32 block has a D instead of a C cup (meaning a 4″ rather than a 3″ difference between your full and high bust) and has a 1″ larger difference between the waist and hip circumference. Both size ranges are drafted for an average height of 5’5″.
Notions: Coordinating thread; 1/3 yd of medium weight fusible interfacing; two 1.5" (38 mm) overall clasps; two 1.5" (38 mm) overall sliders; six 11/16" (17 mm) jean tack buttons; denim sewing machine needle // Optional: topstitching thread.
