Buy the Aster Top and Dress sewing pattern from True Bias. The Aster pattern features a square cut front and back neckline, as well as squared off armholes. It has angled French darts and a button-back opening. View A is a crop top hitting around the natural waistline, while View B is a mini shift dress hitting a few inches above the knee. View B also has soft back darts for extra shaping and in-seam pockets. Both views include a self facing and an optional full lining.

Main View B: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 2 - 2.3 yd (1.8 - 2.1 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 1.8 - 2 yd (1.6 - 1.8 m).

Lining View A: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 0.3 - 0.5 yd (0.3 - 0.5 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 0.3 yd (0.3 m).

Lining View B: 45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: 0.8 - 1.5 yd (0.7 - 1.4 m) // 54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: 0.8 yd (0.7 m).

Sizing: US 0 – 18 or US 14 – 32 (approx. UK 6/8 – 18/20 or UK 16 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

Note: The size ranges have been drafted from different blocks. The 14 – 32 block has a slightly more curvy set of dimensions than the 0 – 18 block. The 14 – 32 block has a D instead of a C cup (meaning a 4″ rather than a 3″ difference between your full and high bust) and has a 1″ larger difference between the waist and hip circumference. Both size ranges are drafted for an average height of 5'5″.

Notions: View A: three 3/4" (18 mm) buttons; 1/4 yd medium weight fusible interfacing // View B: eight 3/4" (18 mm) buttons; 1 yd medium weight fusible interfacing.
