Buy the TPC22 Raglan Dress and Top sewing pattern from Trend Patterns. This pattern has been inspired by catwalk trends in New York, London, Milan and Paris. The high collar and tie at the back of the neck are very on trend and also make this pattern easier to construct as it requires no fastening. The raglan sleeve and gathering at the front neck make this piece a very elegant style for all seasons. This combo pattern is for a dress, with markings to cut a blouse length. The dress is 50 cm longer than the top.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight wovens. Silk, crepe, cotton.
Fabric requirements: Based on size 22. 140 cm wide fabric: Dress, 315 cm // Top, 200 cm.
Sizing: UK 8 - 22. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements. Note: Does not include size 6.
Notions: Light weight fusing (dependent on weight of fabric); 2 cm wide elastic for cuff, 55 cm.
PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4 print-at-home pattern (45 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (3 sheets).

This is a quick and easy make with the only fastening the tied neck. I would really recommend this pattern and think it would suit most people. Everything went together well.
I altered the dress by lengthening it to midi length and I did french seaming through out. I also folded the necktie in half where it sat around my neck as the smaller width suited my shorter neck. I made this decision when the dress was finished so, instead of unpicking, I simply folded the necktie in half and hand sewed it down onto the neckline. I left the tie the normal width where it hangs free.
