Tilly and the Buttons Etta Dress

Buy the Etta Dress sewing pattern from Tilly and the Buttons. Turn heads in this elegant fitted dress, perfect for special occasions or bossing it at the office. Etta is shaped with darts at the bust, waist and shoulders. Choose from lined cap sleeves or darted three-quarter length sleeves, and a high back or V-back neckline, with an optional collar and faux pockets. Etta closes with an invisible zip at the back. The hemline hits the bottom of the knee, with a kick pleat for easy movement.

Suggested fabrics: Medium weight, non-drapey fabrics, preferably with stretch for comfort. Try stretch woven cotton, sateen, triple crepe, crepe-back satin, ponte di roma or jacquard knits. The cap sleeve version would also work nicely in brocade.

Fabric requirements: 0.5 m (5/8 yd) less for collarless versions.

Cap sleeve: 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 2 m (2 1/4 yd) // 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 2.3 - 3.1 m (2 5/8 - 3 3/8 yd).

Three-quarter sleeve: 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 2.3 m (2 5/8 yd) // 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 2.8 - 3.4 m (3 1/4 - 3 3/4 yd).
