Disappointed

I really wanted to like this pattern as I think the style is great.
Unfortunately the pattern itself was disappointing as the instructions were minimal and there were very few markings, nothing for roll line, break line, buttons and buttonholes, no centre front markings. The only seperate lining pattern was for the front, no back or sleeves lining pattern and the use of interfacing was minimal (no hems, vent, pocket area, etc) .
To make a coat which I would be happy to wear I had to do a lot of the work myself, and that meant that it turned into a really stressful project as I was making it for someone else (and using a really lovely piece of wool/cashmere).
I really expect more attention to detail and more detailed instructions at this price point. I was considering buying some of their other patterns, but now I would think twice about them.

Disappointing

Love the style of this coat but the pattern was a disappointment as it lacked so many of the details expected at this price point.
Markings were minimal, no centre front marking, no fold line for the vent, no seperate markings or pattern pieces for the lining apart from the front lining, no seam lines, no break point or roll line.
Some of the information was not included in the instructions so had to be found on the website, like sizing or fabric requirements.
Very basic instructions, example: "Hand stitch the lining to the coat. Then either hand or machine stitch the back vent in place." And that was all of the instructions for the vent!
In the end I had to do a lot of the work myself, like lining patterns and figuring out how to machine sew the vent (and adjust the back pattern to make it work). I spent more time working on the pattern and trying to figure out how to make a coat that I would actually be happy with, than I have on most of the patterns I have used.
One star because the style is good. I was considering buying other patterns from this company but I am now thinking probably not.
