TAUKO Sparkle Shirt

Buy the Sparkle Shirt sewing pattern from TAUKO. The Sparkle Shirt by Kaisa Rissanen plays with the rhythm of sheer striped fabric. The bodice has doubled fabric for full coverage, while the upper part and sleeves have only one layer of sheer knit. The design invites you to experience layering sheer jerseys. There are long and 3/4 length sleeve options, and you can easily shorten the sleeve further to make a tee for warmer spring days.

Designer: Kaisa Rissanen is the co-founder of TAUKO Magazine and lives in Helsinki, Finland. Kaisa enjoys long walks in the forest with her rescue dog Wilma and is always ready for another cup of good coffee. While she loves to be surrounded by beauty, her aesthetic can be defined by “less is more”. She believes the best clothes are comfortable and create an uplifting effect.

Suggested fabrics: Choose a light knit or jersey (80 gsm/2.8 oz.). Sheer fabrics are perfect and will emphasise the design lines. You can also consider lace motif knits. Be sure to have elasticity in the fabric you choose, as the shirt does not include any fastening. The samples are made from a sheer striped knit (46% viscose + 27% cotton + 27% modal).

Fabric requirements: 

3/4 sleeve shirt: 140 cm (55") wide fabric: 92 - 213 cm (36" - 84").

Long sleeve shirt: 140 cm (55") wide fabric: 103 - 220 cm (41" - 87").

Sizing: 1 – 9 (approx. UK 6 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
