Suggested fabrics: Light-medium weight stretch fabrics such as viscose/jersey knits or any fabric with at least 5% elastane/spandex content or 30% stretch. Some cotton jerseys are too structured to use for the binding and may create a bulky appearance. The dress will fit and feel different depending on the stretchiness and weight of your fabric, so the designer suggests making a toile first. If using fabric with high stretch or elastane/spandex content like rib knit or 4-way stretch, the designer suggests cutting one or two sizes smaller.

Fabric requirements:

Sizes 6-16: 127 cm (50") wide fabric: Dress (with shelf bra and binding), 1.7 m (1.8 yd) // Dress (without shelf bra, with binding), 1.5 m (1.6 yd) // Dress (with shelf bra, without binding), 1.5 m (1.6 yd) // Contrast binding, 0.15 m (0.2 yd).
