Sew Over It Maeve Blouse

Buy the Maeve Blouse sewing pattern from Sew Over It. Maeve features a rounded V-neckline, bust darts for shaping, a gentle fit on the waist and hips, and the choice of two closure styles. Version 1 has buttons all the way down the front with delicate rouleau loops instead of buttonholes. Version 2 closes with rouleau bow ties for an extra pretty touch. The bodice includes a button shield to provide full coverage whether you go for buttons or bows! You can choose between 3/4 or full-length sleeves. Both are finished with a beautiful faux cuff that technical sewists will love constructing.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics with some drape, such as viscose or crepe. You could also use cotton lawn for a more structured look.

Fabric requirements: The fabric requirements include only 10 cm buffer to avoid fabric wastage.

V1: 1.15 m (45") wide fabric: 2.3 m (2 1/2 yd) // 1.40 m (55") wide fabric: 2.1 m (2 1/4 yd).

V2: 1.15 m (45") wide fabric: 2.3 m (2 1/2 yd) // 1.40 m (55") wide fabric: 2.1 m (2 1/4 yd).

Sizes 18 – 30

V1: 1.15 m (45") wide fabric: 3.1 m (3 3/8 yd) // 1.40 m (55") wide fabric: 2.4 m (2 5/8 yd).

V2: 1.15 m (45") wide fabric: 3.5 m (3 3/4 yd) // 1.40 m (55") wide fabric: 2.25 m (2 1/2 yd).

Sizing: UK 6 – 20 and UK 18 – 30 (approx. UK 6 – 20 and UK 20 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

This pattern is split into two different blocks. The 6-20 size range is drafted for a B cup. The 18-30 size range is drafted for a D cup.

Notions: 0.5 m lightweight interfacing; twelve 12 mm buttons for V1; 2 mm piping cord. It will be useful to have a loop turner or large sewing needle to turn your rouleau through to the right side.
