Buy the Miri Tank Top sewing pattern from Sew DIY. The Miri Tank is a wardrobe building basic that will quickly become the shirt you reach for most often. This simple-to-sew top can be worn with skirts, pants or shorts for a variety of everyday outfits, throughout the year.

This A-line shaped tank top is fitted with a bust dart and cropped to end at the high hip. View A features a classic rounded neckline and armholes, while View B sports a V-neck in the front and gently angled armholes and back neck shaping. Both views are finished with an all-in-one facing. When made in a linen or cotton, the tank will maintain its A-line shape while worn. When made in a drapey rayon or Tencel, the shape will hang closer to the body.

This beginner-friendly pattern includes three cup size options for all sizes. Choose from A/B cup, C/D cup or E/F cup for a customised fit through the bust.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium-weight woven fabrics such as linen, chambray, cotton lawn, poplin, double gauze, rayon, Tencel and crepe de chine.

Fabric requirements: 45" (115 cm) wide fabric: 2 yd (1.8 m) // 60" (150 cm) wide fabric: 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 yd (1.4 - 1.5 m).

If you are using a directional print or are pattern matching, you may need additional fabric.

Sizing: US 0 - 32 with A/B, C/D and E/F cup sizes (approx. UK 4 – 30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Note: The cup size for this pattern may not be the same as your bra size. Wearing only the undergarments that you plan on wearing with your dress/top, use a flexible measuring tape to measure your circumference at the upper bust and full bust. First, select the size that most closely matches your Upper Bust measurement on the size chart. Next, look down that column and find the Full Bust measurement that most closely matches yours. That is your cup size.

If you are between cup sizes, take the difference between your Upper Bust and Full Bust measurements. If the difference is 1-2″ (2.5-5 cm), use the A/B cup; 3-4″ (7.5-10 cm), use the C/D cup; 5-6″ (12.5-15 cm), use the E/F cup.

This pattern is designed for a height of 5’10” (178 cm). Adjust garment length at the lengthen/shorten lines to suit your height and style preferences.

Notions: Thread; interfacing (use a weight and colour similar to your fabric).

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (46 pages for each cup size); US copy shop pattern (1 sheet for each cup size/view); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet for each cup size/view). The print-at-home pattern is layered so you can select your size(s) before printing.
