Puff and Pencil Breezy Shorts

Buy the Breezy Shorts sewing pattern from Puff and Pencil. This design is the perfect combination of comfort and style. With a relaxed fit, the Breezy Shorts are ideal for everyday wear. They feature an elastic waistband with an adjustable tie, two front pockets, and two back pockets. The pattern also includes two length options. The long version reaches the middle of the thigh, while the short version is 11 cm shorter.

Suggested fabrics: This pattern is designed for woven fabrics. Fabrics such as cotton twill, linen, poplin, seersucker, and taslan work well. For the front pocket lining, use a thin cotton poplin or other lining fabric.

Fabric requirements: To make your own waist tie, add 30 cm (11 3/4") of fabric to the requirements below. 

Short version: 135 cm (53") wide fabric: 90 - 120 cm (1 - 1 1/2 yd) // 145 cm (57") wide fabric: 65 - 120 cm (3/4 - 1 1/2 yd).

Long version: 135 cm (53") wide fabric: 120 - 150 cm (1 1/2 - 1 3/4 yd) // 145 cm (57") wide fabric: 75 - 145 cm (1 - 1 1/2 yd).

Front pocket lining: 35 cm (13 3/4").

Sizing: XXS – XXL (approx. UK 6 – 22/24, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 3.5 cm (1 1/2") wide elastic for waistband; 165 - 210 cm (65" - 82 3/4") cotton cord for tie.
