Petits D'om Child/Teen Xylo Shorts or Pants

Buy the Child/Teen Xylo Shorts or Pants sewing pattern from Petits D'om. These shorts or pants have multiple options for nearly fifty different versions! The elasticated waist and mock fly make them quick and easy to put on, and the waistband can be topped with a frill. You can add wide belt loops with a tie belt in a contrasting fabric. There are optional front patch pockets that extend into belt loops, as well as welt or patch pockets for the back. The pants have wide straight legs. The shorts have three different hem options: basic, cuffed or scalloped.

Suggested fabrics: 

Main: Denim, cotton, light gabardine, twill, double gauze, chambray. Note the thicker the fabric the more difficult it will be to sew the layers together, especially at the belt loops when adding the frill option.

Pocket lining and tie belt: Thinner fabric such as Liberty or poplin.

Fabric requirements: 140 cm (58") wide fabric: Shorts, 50 - 100 cm (5/8 - 1 1/8 yd) // Pants, 70 - 160 cm (3/4 - 1 3/4 yd) // Pocket lining and tie belt, 30 - 50 cm (3/8 - 5/8 yd).

Sizing: 2 – 16 years. Please check the designer's size chart.

Notions: Elastic, 2.5 cm (1") wide for 2-8 years or 3 cm (1 1/8") wide for 10-16 years, 48 - 76 cm (18 7/8" - 30").
