Petits D'om Child/Teen Patapouf Slippers

Buy the Child/Teen Patapouf Slippers sewing pattern from Petits D'om. These cosy, cocooning slippers are very comfortable and warm. The pattern includes five designs: rabbit, cat, deer, penguin and dragon. Or you can make a single-colour version without the character details. The opening can be finished with a ribbed band that covers the ankle. The ankle-high version is particularly appropriate for small feet.

Suggested fabrics: 

Main: Minky (recommended) or other plush fabric with 10-15% stretch (avoid overly stretchy fabrics).

Sole: Leather + 1 cm thick foam OR leather + 0.5 cm thick foam + polyester wadding.

Fabric requirements:

Main: 140 cm (58") wide fabric: Main colour, 40 cm (1/2 yd) for sizes 21-27 or 60 cm (3/4 yd) for sizes 28-40 // Second colour (ecru for rabbit and deer, white for cat and penguin), 20 cm (1/4 yd). Third colour (orange for penguin, brown for deer, petrol for dragon), 40 x 40 cm (1/2 x 1/2 yd).

Sole: 25 x 25 cm (1/4 x 1/4 yd) for sizes 21-30 // 30 x 30 cm (3/8 x 3/8 yd) for sizes 31-36 // 35 x 35 cm (1/2 x 1/2 yd) for sizes 37-40 of each material.

Sizing: FR shoe size 21/22 - 39/40 (approx. UK shoe size 4/5.5 - 6/7). Please check the designer’s size chart.

Notions: Pieces of leather or imitation leather for character details; embroidery thread; ribbing (minimum 50% stretch) for ankles (optional), 70 cm (27 1/2") wide, 20 cm (1/4 yd) for sizes 21-30 or 30 cm (3/8 yd) for sizes 31-40; fibrefill stuffing; iron-on stabiliser and water soluble embroidery film for appliqué; leather/textile glue; self-erasing marker.
