Petits D’om Child/Teen Ouvéa Swimsuit

Buy the Child/Teen Ouvéa Swimsuit sewing pattern from Petits D’om. Ouvéa is a one-piece or two-piece swimsuit. A wide ruffle adorns the top, and the thin straps may or may not be crossed at the back. The bottom of the two-piece version can be shorts or a classic bikini bottom. The knots on the bikini bottom are optional. Two cuts are also possible for the bottom of the one-piece swimsuit: classic or shorts. The circumferences of the thighs and waist of the two-piece version can be finished with or without a bias. This swimsuit can be sewn with a sewing machine or an overlocker.

Suggested fabrics: Lycra. Choose a fabric with at least 10% elastane, combined with polyamide or nylon, and 4-way stretch. You will also need swimsuit lining (or you can replace the swimsuit lining with a light fine jersey).

Fabric requirements: 

Lycra (for all pieces): 140 cm wide fabric: One-piece version, 45 - 100 cm // Two-piece version, 40 - 75 cm.

Swimsuit lining: 20 x 20 cm.

The yardage of the main fabric is sufficient if you want to cut the bias, straps, knots of the bikini bottom, or ruffle in it. If you want to cut some pieces in contrasting fabric:

Lycra – contrasting fabric for the ruffle: 110 cm wide fabric: 20 - 35 cm.

Lycra – contrasting fabric for the knots: 20 x 20 cm.

Lycra – contrasting fabric for the bias: 140 cm wide fabric: 20 cm.

Sizing: 2 – 16 years. Please check the size chart.

Notions: Jersey (ballpoint) needle; 100% polyester thread; woolly nylon thread (optional); 8 – 9 mm wide rubber elastic, 70 - 110 cm for one-piece version or 1.55 - 2.5 m for two-piece version; for the straps: 40 - 90 cm of ready-made spaghetti strap cord or 5 cm of lycra (on width) + 40 - 90 cm of rubber elastic.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; print-at-home pattern (12 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet). This pattern has layers so you can print only the size(s) you need.
