Buy the Child/Teen Keefe Sweatshirt sewing pattern from Petits D’om. Keefe is a sweatshirt pattern with a dozen different versions, with or without a hood, and with or without a zipper. The pockets (optional) are integrated as inserts on the front. The front can be made in two parts without pockets just for decoration or colour blocking. The neckline of the non-zippered sweatshirt can be finished with a thin bias or with a wider band imitating a high collar. The zippered jacket must have the wide band at the neck.

Suggested fabrics:

Main: You can choose any kind of sweatshirt fabric (brushed, fleece, jogging fabric, French terry).

For the secondary fabric (hood lining, pockets, hem band), select a thin fabric such as a jersey or French terry. For the sleeve cuffs, you must use a fabric with at least 50% elasticity. Jersey or ribbing fabric that is not too thick is highly recommended. You can also choose ribbing for the hem band. For the wide neck band of the zippered version, pick a thin fabric like jersey to avoid bulk that will be difficult to sew. If you are making a hoodie, it is also advisable to use a thin fabric for the neckline band (whether it is thin or wide) to avoid thick layers that are difficult to sew. Note the zipper facings of the zippered version are cut in the main fabric.

Fabric requirements:

Main: 140 cm (58″) wide fabric: 70 - 140 cm (3/4 - 1 1/2 yd).

Secondary fabric (hood lining, pockets, hem band, sleeve cuffs, neckline binding): 140 cm (58″) wide fabric: 40 - 75 cm (1/2 - 7/8 yd).

If you cut the hem band and sleeve cuffs from a fabric other than the secondary fabric, you will need 15 cm (1/4 yd) for 2 - 10 years or 30 cm (1/2 yd) for 12 - 16 years.

Sizing: 2 – 16 years. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Separating zipper for the zippered jacket, 35 - 70 cm (13.5" - 27.5") depending on size; drawstring for the hood (optional), 80 - 135 cm (7/8 - 1 1/2 yd); two eyelets for the drawstring, 8 mm (3/8") diameter (optional - you can make buttonholes).

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (20 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet). This pattern has layers so you can print only the size(s) you need.

Note: This pattern does not include seam allowances.
