Petits D’om Child Sheebam Shorts or Pants

Buy the Child/Teen Sheebam Shorts or Pants sewing pattern from Petits D’om. Depending on the fabric used and the version chosen, Sheebam can be sewn as pyjama bottoms or as light shorts or pants for the summer. They are worn on the hips and can have pockets, which you can decorate with frills, piping or trim. The waist is elasticated and can have a frill or not.

There are two cuts for the shorts: a flared cut which rises slightly on the side and has a ruffle at the hem (version A) or a simple straight cut (version B). The pants are straight cut, like the version B shorts.

Suggested fabrics: Choose a fine and light woven fabric: fine cotton, cotton satin, Liberty, viscose, light chambray, batiste, tencel, double gauze. The lining of the ruffles should be cut from a thin fabric.

Fabric requirements: 

Main fabric: 140 cm wide fabric: Version A shorts with ruffles, 50 - 100 cm // Version B straight shorts without ruffles, 40 - 60 cm // Version B pants, 80 - 150 cm.

The yardage of the main fabric is sufficient if you want to cut all pieces in it.

Lining of the ruffles (if applicable): 110 cm wide fabric: 25 - 40 cm.

Secondary fabric (back of pocket, ruffle, frills, waist): 110 cm wide fabric: 25 - 50 cm.

Sizing: 2 – 16 years. Please check the size chart.

Notions: Elastic, 2 cm wide for ages 2 - 10 or 2.5 cm wide for ages 12 - 16, 48 - 76 cm; lace trim for bottom of ruffles (optional), 1.40 - 2.10 m; lace trim for hems of shorts version B (optional), 0.95 - 1.30 m; decorative satin ribbon (optional), 1.5 cm wide, 60 cm.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (19 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet). This pattern has layers so you can print only the size(s) you need.
