Suggested fabrics:
Main: Medium to heavyweight knit fabric, such as double knit, ponte or scuba knit. Some lighter weight knits with decent recovery can be used, such as baby french terry or athletic fabric, and stretch lace or velvet are also beautiful options! Jersey knits or knits with rayon or linen blends are not recommended.
Ribbing (Version A): 1x1 or 2x2 knit ribbing for cuffs, hem band and neck binding. These pieces can also be cut from your main fabric, but the neck binding may need to be cut from a larger size to accommodate lower stretch percentage.
Fabric requirements:
Main: 54" (150 cm) wide fabric: Version A, 1 - 1 1/2 yd (0.9 - 1.4 m) // Version B, 1 - 1 3/4 yd (0.9 - 1.6 m).
Ribbing (Version A): 44" (112 cm) wide: 1/3 - 3/4 yd (0.3 - 0.7 m).
Sizing: US 0 – 28 with B, C, D and E cups (approx. UK 6 – 28). Please check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.
A note from the designer about bust cup options: To select the proper size, first select the size that corresponds with your high bust measurement, then find the cup size according to this general rule: If the difference between your high bust and full bust measurements is 1" – 2" (2.5 cm – 5 cm), you will sew the B cup; 2" – 3" (5 cm – 7.5 cm), you will sew the C cup; 3" – 4" (7.5 cm – 10 cm), you will sew the D cup; 4" – 5" (10 cm – 12.5 cm), you will sew the E cup. For a difference less than 1" (2.5 cm) or greater than 5" (12.5 cm), a small bust adjustment (SBA) or full bust adjustment (FBA) may be required.
Refer to the finished garment measurements chart to verify that the finished bust measurement is 1/2" greater than your full bust measurement for a comfortable fit in the bust. If the difference between your high bust and full bust is right at the upper threshold of a cup size, it might be more comfortable to size up or go to the next cup size.
Notions: Version A: 16"-20" (41-51 cm) lightweight separating jacket zipper (#3 size recommended) // Version B: 7 or 8 snap fasteners, size 7/16" (1.1 cm) (decorative pearl snaps or similar recommended); approx. 0.1 yd (0.1 m) of knit interfacing.
PDF pattern includes: Instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (20 pages + 11 pages for each cup size); A0 copy shop pattern (1 sheet + 1 sheet for each cup size) // Layers: Yes // Projector file: No.
