Buy the Aeolian Tee and Dress sewing pattern from Pattern Fantastique. The Aeolian is the perfect boxy tee, as wide as it is tall. It has a square shaped sleeve, strategically inserted into the armhole for maximum 3D body.

Sized down, it makes the perfect sheath dress. Neat, but not tight. Excellent in a glamour knit for a mini cocktail dress. Sized up it responds with mega drapes and kaftan-esque volume.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following format:

– PAPER (next working day dispatch on orders and FREE UK delivery over £50)

Suggested fabrics: All knits are possible. The shape comes to life in a firm knit. Lighter, drapey knits will give more movement but less shape. The designer recommends a heavier knit for the longer options.

Fabric requirements: 140 cm (55") wide fabric: Boxy tee, 120 cm (48") // Tunic, 140 cm (55") // Knee length, 160 cm (63") // Calf length, 170 cm (67") // Ankle length, 190 cm (75").

Sizing: 6 – 18. Please check the designer's size chart.

Notions: 60 cm (26") of stay tape; ballpoint needle; stretch twin needle (optional).

Aeolian Tee

Although this pattern is meant for knits I couldn't resist making it in a sheer organza for Frocktails. The pattern came together really easily and is a lovely shape. I can image making it in a heavy knit as a pull-over sweater.
