Buy the Zadie Dress Expansion sewing pattern from Paper Theory Patterns. Use this pattern expansion to make a relaxed and easy to wear wrap dress version of the Zadie Jumpsuit.
The Zadie Dress wraps around the body and is held in place securely with a tie belt so there is no need for buttons or a zip, nor too many fitting issues as it can be tightened or loosened to suit. The dress can be sleeveless with a dropped shoulder or have wide 3/4 length sleeves. The skirt is midi length and has in-seam side pockets. The neck edge is finished with bias binding.
Note: This is not a complete pattern. It only includes the skirt pieces. You must already own the original Zadie Jumpsuit pattern to use this expansion. If you have not yet purchased the jumpsuit pattern, you can do so here. Alternatively, you can purchase the Zadie Dress as a standalone pattern here.

Suggested fabrics: This pattern was designed especially for woven, medium weight fabrics like cotton and linen and would look great in fabric that has a draped quality like a crepe, viscose twill or satin. Light fabrics like double gauze or cotton lawn would be particularly suited to the gathers. It is possible to make this in knit or stretch fabrics like jersey but the binding technique around the neck is tricky in a stretch fabric so be warned that would take the difficulty degree up a few notches.
Fabric requirements: All calculations are on a single lay. If you want to cut your fabric on the fold, increase consumption by 35 cm (0.4 yd) for all sizes. For Option B (sleeveless), reduce consumption by 35 cm (0.4 yd) for all sizes.
115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 2.70 – 4.18 m (2.95 – 4.57 yd).
150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 2.13 – 3.46 m (2.33 – 3.78 yd).
Sizing: UK 6 – 28 (approx. UK 6 – 30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
This pattern was drafted for the height of 170 cm (5’7″) and a C bust cup. However, the pattern was sampled with models who had A, C and DD bust cups, and no fitting alterations were necessary for any of these cup sizes.
