Buy the Baby/Child Secret Agent Trench Coat sewing pattern from Oliver + S. Let's pretend we're going on a stakeout. This classic unlined trench coat pattern for boys and girls includes double-breasted button front, raglan sleeves, shoulder flap, button tabs at sleeves, and tie belt at waist. The unisex version (View A) has pockets, while the ultra-feminine alternate version (View B) features a dropped-waist skirt.

5 - 12 years: View A, 2 3/4 - 3 1/4 yards (2.5 - 3 m) // View B, 2 3/4 - 3 1/2 yards (2.5 - 3.2 m).

58" (147 cm) wide fabric:
6 months - 4 years: View A, 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 yards (1.4 - 1.6 m) // View B, 2 - 2 1/2 yards (1.8 - 2.3 m).
5 - 12 years: View A, 2 1/4 - 3 yards (2.1 - 2.7 m) // View B, 2 1/2 - 3 1/4 yards (2.3 - 3 m).

Sizing: 6 months - 4 years and 5 - 12 years. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread, light- to medium-weight fusible interfacing (match your fabric with the appropriate weight of interfacing), eight 3/4" buttons // For finishing the seam allowances: 1/2 yard of lightweight fabric like quilting cotton, broadcloth, or shirting for bias binding or 2 packages of 7/8" single-fold bias tape/binding (both are optional).
