Named Aina Trousers and Culottes

Buy the Aina Trousers and Culottes sewing pattern from Named. The Aina pattern includes two variations: classic trousers with a slightly tapered ankle-length leg, and trendy culottes. Both are lightly fitted and have a high rise, fly zipper closure, front pockets and patch pockets in the back. The front waist is finished with a classic and clean waistband with a decorative button closure at the sides. The back waist has a relaxed elastic detail, making the trousers more comfortable and easier to fit. Either variation can be sewn with or without the decorative topstitching.

Suggested fabrics: Choose a light to medium weight non-stretch trousering, or a fabric with approximately 5 - 10% stretch. Linen, hemp and cotton trouserings, as well as light denim are all good options.

Fabric requirements: The fabric requirements include a 5% allowance for shrinkage. Note that the fabric consumption may be greater for fabrics with a pattern and for fabrics that need to be cut in one direction.

Trousers: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 145 - 220 cm (1 5/8 - 2 3/8 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 190 - 260 cm (2 1/8 - 2 7/8 yd).

Culottes: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 140 - 230 cm (1 1/2 - 2 1/2 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 175 - 255 cm (1 7/8 - 2 3/4 yd).

Sizing: EU 32 – 56 (approx. UK 6 – 28, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Pocket bag fabric, 35 cm (3/8 yd); fusible interfacing, 35 cm (3/8 yd); zipper, 18 cm (7”) for sizes 32-42 or 20 cm (8”) for sizes 44-56; 5 cm (2”) wide elastic; 1 large button or jeans button; 4 medium-size buttons or snap fasteners; topstitching thread.
