Matchy Matchy Champagne Field Dress and Top

Buy the Champagne Field Dress and Top sewing pattern from Matchy Matchy Sewing Club. The Champagne Field Dress is a prairie style dress with patch pockets and an optional patchwork view with in-seam pockets. The front and back bodice include soft gathers that sit above the bust. View A is a mini dress hitting above the knee and includes a flutter sleeve. View B is a midi dress hitting mid-calf with a high-low hem and a gathered puff sleeve finished with a wide elastic cuff. Both views include a large bottom ruffle. View C is a babydoll style top with soft gathers that sit above the bust and a flowing bell sleeve. The semi-cropped length hits right below the natural waist.

This pattern includes a bonus sleeve view: a modern style ruffle that is easy to construct and interchangeable between views. It also includes pattern pieces and instructions for a square neck hack.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics.

Fabric requirements: Extra fabric may be needed to match stripes, plaids, or directional prints. The designer recommends choosing a fabric that is at least 54" wide. If using a smaller width, piecing may be required for the skirt and ruffle pieces. Sizes 2XL-6XL require piecing the skirt ruffle. Not cutting on the fold will reduce yardage.

54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: View A, 2.5 - 3.5 yd (2.3 - 3.2 m) // View B, 3.25 - 4.5 yd (3 - 4.2 m) // View C, 2 - 2.75 yd (1.9 - 2.6 m).

Sizing: XXS – 6XL (approx. UK 6 – 38, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Fusible interfacing; 3/4" elastic for View B only.
