Suggested fabrics: 

Choose a fabric that will give the bag plenty of structure, such as a 9-12 oz. canvas, waxed canvas, or denim with no stretch. The designer’s favourite fabric to work with is waxed canvas for its structure, durability, and water resistance.

All the leather pieces should be 5-7 oz. in weight.

Fabric requirements: 

Main: 45″ (114 cm) or 60″ (152 cm) wide fabric: 3/4 yd (0.7 m).

Accent: 45″ (114 cm) or 60″ (152 cm) wide fabric: 5/8 yd (0.6 m).

Leather: 65" x 3/4" leather strips.

Sizing: Finished dimensions: 13" H x 11" W x 5 1/2" D (33 cm x 28 cm x 14 cm).
