Buy the Upland Trousers sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. The Upland Trousers are streamlined, smart, relaxed and comfortable. These high rise trousers with a waist facing (no waistband) are fitted through the waist and hip and relaxed at the thighs and below. They feature front slanted pockets as well as back double-welt pockets with button and loop closures. The Upland Trousers are designed to be full-length with the hem hitting slightly above the ground, but you can hem them higher to suit your personal preference.

Suggested fabrics: 

Primary fabric: Use bottom weight woven fabric with no stretch such as linen, linen mix, twill, corduroy, suiting and poplin.

Lining: Use lightweight non-stretch lining fabric such as bemberg, batiste, lightweight non-stretch cotton.

Fabric requirements:

Primary fabric: 54″ (135 cm) wide fabric: 1 3/4 - 2 3/4 yd (160 - 250 cm).

Lining: 44" (112 cm) wide fabric: 1/2 yd (50 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 40 (approx. UK 6/8 – 34/36, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Lightweight fusible woven or weft insertion interfacing; 10" (26 cm) or longer closed-end metal or nylon zipper; 20" (51 cm) of 3/8" or 1/2" (1 cm or 1.25 cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape (or cut your own using lightweight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain); two 3/8" (1 cm) buttons; one 5/8" (1.6 cm) button; 1/2" or 3/8" (1.25 cm or 1 cm) clear elastic as long as your waist.
